Academic advisors are available Monday -Tuesday 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Wednesday - Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Building S, room S201.

NOTE: We stop signing students one hour before close, or earlier if necessary during peak times.

Advisors can be seen on a walk-in basis during office hours.  Advisors can be reached by email at advising@snsxedu.net, or leave a phone message at (708) 974-5721. Phones are not answered live, so provide a detailed message and someone will return the call.  You can also initiate academic advising using the Academic Advising Service Request form. This will be the fastest way to receive a response and you will be able to track the status of your request.

It is strongly recommended that students do not wait for the registration cycle to begin for their next semester. This is a period of high-volume traffic in the Advising Center. Wait times are much longer, and it can take up to one or two business days for a call or email to be returned.

If you are a prospective student who has not applied to the college, you can contact the Admissions office for help.

Maximum Academic Load

The recommended maximum academic load during fall or spring semesters is 20 credit hours. The recommended maximum during the summer session is 12 credit hours.
